About the Role
In the Assembly Technician role you will assemble, wire, and modify medium and high voltage indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker and auxiliary compartments, power modules, and related sub‑assemblies based on detailed specifications. Eaton fosters a creative environment where bold professionals can reach their full potential and contribute to the company’s success. • Follow manufacturing instructions, electrical/mechanical drawings, and supervisor guidance. • Complete ISO, quality, customer, and production checklists and forms. • Mount and install electrical equipment and perform wire operations. • Lift and assemble heavy copper components. • Report Kanban inventory shortages. • Inspect assemblies for missing hardware and cleanliness. • Respond to change notices, customer adjustments, and development needs. • Assist engineering and drafting with customer‑initiated development work. • Train and coach colleagues to transfer knowledge and develop skills. • Utilize hand/power tools, step ladders, cranes, and standard computer programs (Outlook/Teams, ENOVIA) in a Lean environment.

What You Bring
The position requires regular standing, walking, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds (or more), and frequent use of hand and power tools, ladders, and cranes. Employees are also exposed to noise and dust and must meet vision and hearing requirements for safety. • Hold a high school diploma or GED; able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. • Use hand and air tools; preferably have at least 1 year manufacturing experience and SCMC certification. • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, persuasive and analytical problem‑solving skills. • Work effectively in teams, with flexible hours and overtime as needed.
