About the Role
Parsons is hiring a Bridge Section Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team on regional infrastructure projects. The manager will oversee staffing budgets, coordinate engineering and design efforts across all disciplines, and ensure quality, schedule, and productivity goals are met. The role also involves close collaboration with Project Managers and adherence to Parsons and project standards. In addition to technical leadership, the Section Manager will support business development by contributing to pursuit pipelines, serving as a capture manager, and representing the company at conferences and professional organizations. Responsibilities include developing staffing plans, recruiting, onboarding, training, and career development for the team. • Review and approve discipline staffing budget estimates and assignment schedules. • Maintain appropriate staffing levels, including temporary personnel. • Manage engineering and design efforts for all disciplines on major programs. • Coordinate discipline staffing requirements and monitor quality and progress. • Work with Project Managers to resolve staffing, quality, schedule, or productivity issues. • Ensure compliance with Parsons and project standards and procedures. • Support pre‑contract and business development activities as a technical consultant. • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training for new hires and team members. • Develop career development plans and workforce forecasting for the section. • Oversee performance management, including recognition and disciplinary actions.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field). • Minimum 15 years of bridge and INDOT experience with supervisory/managerial responsibility. • Indiana Professional Engineer (PE) registration; active professional society membership may be required. • Proven supervisory/managerial capability and excellent written and oral communication skills. • Thorough knowledge of industry practices, regulations, and engineering software.
