About the Role
The Project Controls I role collects and validates financial data to monitor project budgets and progress within an assigned region or division. The position supports the Project Management Methodology by maintaining accurate cost records, preparing customer billings, and assisting with variance reporting. It provides a foundation for understanding construction accounting and gaining experience in project controls. • Collect, review, and validate financial data for project cost measurement, billing, accounts payable, payroll, and equipment utilization. • Maintain accurate and timely project financial records in line with company policies. • Prepare and review customer billings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and contract compliance. • Research and resolve accounts payable and transaction discrepancies in partnership with project management, accounting, and vendors. • Monitor project activities for compliance with contracts, internal policies, procedures, and guidelines. • Track and report project costs, commitments, and variances under senior project controls guidance. • Document and retain records to support audits, internal reviews, and client requirements. • Collaborate with project and operations teams to ensure effective financial controls and transparency. • Align roles, goals, and business relationships with company strategy and operational objectives.

What You Bring
The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 0‑3 years of related experience, together with a solid understanding of financial tools, accounting principles, and Microsoft Office. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills are essential.
