About the Role

• Assist with environmental remediation projects, including site investigations and corrective action activities • Support fieldwork such as soil sampling, groundwater monitoring, and remediation system monitoring • Collect, organize, and analyze environmental data • Assist in the preparation of technical reports, figures, and tables • Support compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA, state cleanup programs) • Participate in health and safety planning and adhere to site‑specific safety protocols • Collaborate with project teams to support project planning, scheduling, and documentation

What You Bring

SRS is seeking a motivated Environmental Engineering Intern based in Ventura to support remediation projects during the summer term, providing hands‑on experience in site assessment, investigation, and remediation of soil, groundwater, and surface‑water contamination alongside experienced engineers and scientists. • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field • Basic understanding of environmental remediation concepts and regulatory frameworks • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team • Willingness to perform fieldwork in varying weather and site conditions • Prior internship or coursework related to environmental remediation or site assessment • Familiarity with sampling techniques and field equipment • Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, GIS, or similar software) • OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification (or willingness to obtain) • Hands‑on experience with environmental remediation projects • LG2 Environmental Solutions (LG2)
