About the Role

The Offshore Structural Engineer will lead offshore structure engineering activities in line with project requirements, adhering to assigned budget, schedule, and quality standards. This role ensures compliance with all project interfaces, supervises information flow, and continuously develops technical skills, procedures, and tools needed for proposals and project execution. Key responsibilities include designing and detailing fixed and float‑over platforms, process platforms, and FPSO/FLNG structures, as well as analysing technical documents to assess study scope and potential risks. The engineer plans discipline‑specific engineering tasks, documentation deliverables, and resource estimates to meet project milestones, while organising team work and establishing execution procedures. Coordination of engineering activities with other disciplines, construction, installation teams, and external stakeholders is essential to optimise quality, cost, and schedule criteria. The role involves controlling input data, reviewing all team‑issued documents, providing weight and centre‑of‑gravity data, and feeding lessons learned into the department’s improvement system. • Lead offshore structural engineering activities, maintaining budget, schedule, and quality compliance. • Design and detail fixed, float‑over, process platforms and FPSO/FLNG structures. • Analyse specifications, calculations, and drawings to define study scope and assess risks. • Plan engineering tasks, documentation deliverables, and resource allocation to meet project milestones. • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, construction, installation teams, and external stakeholders. • Control input data, review team documentation, and provide weight and centre‑of‑gravity information. • Utilise finite‑element analysis tools (e.g., SACS) for offshore structure verification. • Perform pre‑feed and conceptual design, including dynamic, boat‑impact, barge‑stability, and transportation‑fatigue analyses. • Implement lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement processes. • Uphold KBR’s values of integrity, delivery, empowerment, teamwork, and ESG commitments.

Key Responsibilities

  • structure design
  • fem analysis
  • dynamic analysis
  • weight data
  • task planning
  • team coordination

What You Bring
