About the Role
The role is for an Estimator within the Infrastructure Commercial Team in Glasgow, responsible for producing detailed, resource‑based estimates, evaluating design changes, maintaining baseline costs and challenging contractors’ estimates. The position requires independent ownership of the estimating process, support for best‑practice development, and the ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously while staying current with technical developments. • Produce accurate, comprehensive project estimates in a timely manner. • Manage the estimating process at project level independently. • Promote and represent estimating best practices within the firm and to clients. • Contribute to departmental objectives and stay updated on technical developments. • Provide estimating/QS services in large‑project environments and understand project management, planning, risk and investment processes.

What You Bring
• Hold high‑standard qualifications in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with relevant experience. • Demonstrate varied construction project experience and proficiency in estimating methodologies such as parametric, unit rate and benchmarking. • Possess membership of professional bodies (e.g., RICS, CIOB) or a degree in quantity surveying or a related field. • Experience with estimating software (e.g., CANDY, Causeway, CostX, COSTOS) is desirable.
