About the Role
Key responsibilities include processing pre‑hire paperwork in Paycom, maintaining employee records, administering health, dental, vision, life, 401(k) and wellness benefits, managing enrollment and changes, and handling FMLA, ADA, and other leave processes. The Generalist also collaborates with regional admins to improve onboarding, resolves benefits carrier issues, provides orientation materials, supports education reimbursement, audits HR tasks, updates policies, and assists with Paycom troubleshooting and reporting. • Process pre‑hire paperwork and ensure accurate entry into Paycom HRIS before start dates. • Maintain and update employee records in compliance with labor laws and company policies. • Administer group health, dental, vision, life insurance, HSAs, 401(k), and wellness benefits, including enrollments, changes, COBRA, and terminations. • Manage 401(k) transactions such as rollovers, loans, hardship withdrawals, and verify monthly premium statements. • Oversee FMLA, ADA, and other leave processes, gather documentation, determine eligibility, and coordinate returns to work. • Serve as primary contact for employee inquiries on benefits, leaves, and accommodations, escalating complex issues as needed. • Conduct quarterly audits of HR tasks to ensure policy compliance and recommend revisions. • Provide Paycom support, troubleshoot portal access issues, and upload documents to cloud storage. • Deliver benefits orientation materials, open‑enrollment communications, and education reimbursement support. • Stay current on HR trends, employment laws, and best practices; participate actively in team collaboration.

What You Bring
The successful candidate will have at least two years of HR experience, strong knowledge of employment law (FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.), and preferably professional certifications such as PHR or SHRM‑CP. Proficiency in HRIS (especially Paycom), Microsoft Office, and strong communication, problem‑solving, and confidentiality skills are essential. The role requires a detail‑oriented, ethical professional who can work independently or within a team, adhere to company policies, and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean background. • Minimum 2 + years of HR experience with strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices. • Professional HR certification preferred (PHR, SHRM‑CP) or specialized FMLA/leave training. • Proficiency in Paycom HRIS and reporting; experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). • Ability to manage multiple cases/projects, maintain confidentiality, and exhibit strong ethical standards. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, conflict‑resolution, and customer‑service skills. • Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and ability to pass background and drug‑testing checks.
