About the Role
The Project Controls Manager will lead the programme controls function, ensuring accurate and consistent reporting on plans, cost, safety, environment and performance. They will establish effective control processes in line with the Guide to Railway Investment Projects (GRIP) and maintain them at the territory/project level. The role also includes reviewing new project proposals, identifying resourcing needs, and supporting the Programme and Project Managers with day‑to‑day reporting. • Review new project proposals/remits to develop realistic resource plans for programme delivery. • Identify resourcing requirements and coordinate with planning functions to resolve issues. • Provide day‑to‑day reporting support to Programme and Project Managers on plans, costs, safety, environment and performance. • Ensure data entered into cost and performance systems meets required standards. • Manage production of the Investment Plan and ensure compliance with the Investment Competence Framework. • Encourage applications from all community sectors. • Engage with candidates via social media channels.

What You Bring
We are hiring Project Controls Managers for major infrastructure projects and programmes in London and the South East. The roles suit candidates with proven experience in sectors such as rail, aviation, power, water/utilities, highways or defence, given the complex nature of the works involved. • Experience performing, monitoring and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control and analysis. • Strong oral and written communication skills. • Proficiency with PC operating systems and common software applications. • Ability to use discipline‑specific tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office, with intermediate knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction and start‑up processes. • Knowledge of engineering and construction management.
