What You Bring
Electrical design experience from scoping to delivery in a complex manufacturing or engineering environment is essential, with sectors such as Defence, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Capital Equipment, Process Plant, Rail or Aerospace considered a good match. Candidates should have experience with bespoke safety‑critical products, electrical controls and instrumentation design, and a solid understanding of the full design process. A relevant engineering degree or equivalent continuous professional development is required, and experience with submarine NSRP design is advantageous. Rolls‑Royce Submarines has been supplying nuclear propulsion for UK Royal Navy submarines for over 60 years. Applicants must hold a Security Check clearance; the company will support clearance applications for UK nationals or MoD‑approved dual nationals. The role offers a competitive grade (NGS 7‑10) with salary dependent on experience, within a transformation programme aiming to build a high‑performing, inclusive and resilient organisation that values diversity and innovation. • Required experience in complex manufacturing/engineering environments such as Defence, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Capital Equipment, Process Plant, Rail or Aerospace. • Strong background in electrical controls, instrumentation design and safety‑critical product development. • Degree in engineering or equivalent professional development; Security Check clearance required (UK national or MoD‑approved dual national).
