About the Role
Air quality and climate change are central to environmental responsibility. In this role you will help clients navigate regulatory requirements, reduce emissions, and transition toward a low‑carbon future, directly contributing to cleaner air and a healthier planet. You will support major industrial and global clients in achieving compliance and sustainability goals, delivering technical expertise on permitting, emissions analysis, and climate initiatives. Collaboration with ERM’s nationwide network will enable the implementation of best practices and innovative solutions. • Conduct air quality analyses and regulatory compliance evaluations. • Prepare air quality permit applications (Title V, PSD, NSR) and emission inventories. • Evaluate air pollution control technologies and implement climate change projects, including GHG inventories. • Assist clients with compliance programs, audits, and deliver projects within scope, budget, and schedule. • Build and maintain relationships with clients, regulators, and internal teams.

What You Bring
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in chemical, environmental, or mechanical engineering (or a related field) and up to two years of experience in air‑quality consulting or industry. Strong analytical abilities, proficiency with spreadsheets and databases, and excellent communication skills are essential. A Master’s degree and experience with Title V, PSD, NSR, MACT compliance, or greenhouse‑gas inventories are preferred. • Require Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; 0‑2+ years experience in air‑quality consulting or industry. • Strong analytical skills, proficient with spreadsheets and databases; excellent written and verbal communication. • Preferred: Master’s degree; experience with Title V, PSD, NSR, MACT compliance; familiarity with greenhouse‑gas inventories.
