About the Role
The Facilities Manager delivers facilities management services across a portfolio of owned and leased assets for Property and Development NSW and its client agencies. The role is accountable for building and equipment maintenance schedules, invoicing, contractor management, and the physical space experience for occupants. It supports Operations Management in delivering services across multiple site portfolios while meeting contractual, statutory, and regulatory obligations. As the Facilities Manager you will oversee a portfolio of owned and leased assets within the PDNSW network, ensuring maintenance, compliance, contractor performance, and client engagement are delivered to the highest standard. The role combines operational and strategic responsibilities, requiring strong judgement, communication, and leadership. Key duties include day‑to‑day site operations, scheduled and reactive maintenance, regular property inspections, budget management, procurement, and contractor performance oversight. You will build strong relationships with client agencies, deliver monthly reporting with insights, support asset lifecycle planning, coach team members, ensure WHS compliance, contribute to sustainability initiatives, and manage financial forecasting. • Oversee day‑to‑day site operations, scheduled and reactive maintenance. • Conduct regular property and asset inspections. • Ensure statutory, regulatory, and contractual compliance. • Manage budgets, expenditures, and approve quotes, invoices, and Opex claims. • Lead procurement activities and contractor performance management. • Build strong relationships with PDNSW and client agencies; conduct meetings and reviews. • Deliver monthly reports with insights; act as escalation point for operational issues. • Support preventative maintenance planning and asset lifecycle strategies. • Maintain asset registers and ensure new equipment is covered under DLP. • Coach and support team members; set KPIs and conduct performance reviews. • Ensure WHS compliance; review vendor safety documentation; support inductions and risk assessments. • Contribute to sustainability initiatives and environmental reporting. • Manage portfolio budgets and quarterly forecasts; provide variance commentary.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate has 5+ years’ experience as a Facilities Manager (non‑technical assets), experience managing multi‑site portfolios, strong contractor and stakeholder management skills, excellent communication, knowledge of FM systems and commercial property processes, and financial management experience.
