About the Role

The Maintenance Technician supports the operation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs of commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment across assigned properties. This role involves assisting with a wide range of systems, from packaging machinery and plumbing to HVAC and building finishes. The technician works closely with other staff to ensure safe, functional, and well‑maintained facilities. The position operates in a professional office setting while regularly using standard office equipment and technology such as computers, smartphones, and building automation systems. Physical demands include frequent movement, occasional stationary work, and the ability to lift, extend arms, and perform tasks like carpentry and snow removal. The technician must respond promptly to emergencies and conduct inspections for safety and preventative maintenance. • Troubleshoot and repair building systems, including packaging machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, grounds equipment, and HVAC. • Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices. • Install and modify building equipment and systems. • Replace and repair finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, paint, piping, and flooring. • Assess maintenance operations and recommend upgrades or cost‑saving measures. • Respond immediately to emergency situations and service requests. • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for safety hazards and preventive maintenance needs. • Maintain and operate fire alarm systems, fire pumps, and related fire‑protection equipment. • Perform carpentry tasks and snow removal as required. • Utilize technology (smartphones, tablets, computers, web applications, building automation) for work orders and reporting. • Complete annual C&W safety training and adhere to company dress code and safety policies.

What You Bring

• Demonstrate technical proficiency, initiative, flexibility, multi‑tasking, and a sense of urgency. • Possess at least 2 years of experience in commercial property maintenance. • Hold technical or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, or related fields. • Maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. • Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
