About the Role
The Driver – CDL (B) operates a collection truck safely while providing prompt, courteous waste removal services. The role includes ensuring the vehicle meets Company safety standards, adhering to all state and federal regulations, and completing daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects quickly. Drivers conduct thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, load and compact waste using manual or automatic controls, and follow route sheets to service each customer efficiently. They interact professionally with customers and dispatchers, tag unsatisfactory containers, monitor waste for prohibited items, and clean any spills according to safety policies. • Perform pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues. • Safely operate a heavy collection truck along assigned routes, loading and compacting waste. • Read route sheets, follow maps, and service each customer as directed. • Lift, load, and dispose of refuse using manual or automatic controls per safety policies. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers to ensure timely service. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers according to procedures. • Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and clean accidental spills safely. • Maintain vehicle readiness by cleaning packer blade and truck body on each trip. • Complete route productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports, and other required documentation. • Meet departmental productivity standards to service customers efficiently. • Follow all safety policies, participate in the ReSOP program, and perform assigned duties. • Adhere to company policies, promote safety standards, and take pride in work.

What You Bring
A Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with an air‑brake endorsement is required.
