About the Role
The Project Field Supervisor (Planner/Estimator) is responsible for detailed planning and safe execution of capital projects, ensuring work follows schedule, quality, and safety standards. The role provides daily direction, coordinates resources, manages installation challenges, and supports craft personnel and leadership. The position reports to the Project Manager and works closely with the Project Coordinator, Controls Specialist, and Shell SAFOR. Core duties include developing and implementing execution plans, using Primavera P6 to analyze schedule logic and critical path impacts, and managing day‑to‑day scope execution in line with the Project Schedule and weekly plan. The supervisor organizes labor, materials, and equipment at the workface, conducts initial quality control checks, assists craft personnel, and performs regular job walks with field crews. Communication responsibilities involve promptly reporting installation issues and field changes to the Project Manager, coordinating daily with the Project Coordinator and Controls Specialist, submitting timesheets and progress updates, and participating in weekly B&R Supervisor and project team meetings. The role also engages subcontractors for job walks, estimates, and execution, and follows up with procurement to resolve commitments, rentals, and invoice discrepancies. Safety duties include drafting, reviewing, and authorizing eVision work permits through SAFOR, reviewing and signing daily TSTIs, coaching crew leads on safe task execution, and auditing TSTI/PTW documentation. The supervisor creates change estimates for incremental scope changes, identifies scope deviations, and communicates them to project leadership.
