About the Role

The Security Clearance Coordinator supports BGIS’s security program, ensuring compliance with the Industrial Security Manual (ISM) and related corporate and government directives within the Public Services Procurement Canada (PSPC) Industrial Security Program (ISP). In this role, the coordinator acts as the Alternate Company Security Officer (ACSO) for Designated Organization Screening (DOS) and Facility Security Clearance (FSC), manages personnel and service‑provider security screening, maintains up‑to‑date security lists, safeguards screening files, and coordinates briefings, change‑of‑circumstance reports, and termination documentation in accordance with contractual and ISM requirements. • Serve as BGIS’ Alternate Company Security Officer for DOS and FSC. • Process coworker and service‑provider applications for access to protected/classified information and sites. • Submit complete personnel security screening documentation for all applicants. • Provide security briefings to coworkers and service‑providers upon granting of Reliability Status, Security Clearance, DOS, or FSC. • Generate change‑of‑circumstance reports and terminate clearances when access is no longer required. • Maintain current, accurate lists of security‑screened coworkers and service‑providers per ISM requirements. • Safeguard all personnel security screening files and related documentation. • Complete and manage Request for Visit forms and inform ISP of physical moves or new construction impacting protected information. • Oversee the Security Requirements Check List (SRCL) and ensure contract security clauses are adhered to. • Obtain approvals from the DSO, ISP, or Contract Security Program before subcontracting contracts with security requirements. • Administer the security orientation and training program as needed. • Interface with government customers on security‑related issues and act as the official BGIS contact with the ISP.

What You Bring

The position requires thorough knowledge of the ISP, ISM, document control, visit certifications, and security processes, as well as strong communication, interpersonal, and decision‑making skills; the incumbent must be dependable, customer‑focused, and able to operate effectively in a dynamic, multi‑task environment. • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of ISP, ISM, and associated corporate and government policies. • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels. • Possess the ability to make sound decisions, manage time, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions in a fast‑paced environment.

Benefits

A Secret Level 2 security clearance and RCMP Reliability clearance (or the ability to obtain them) are mandatory, and the regular full‑time role offers a salary range of $45,968 to $57,461 per year, with compensation based on experience, education, and performance.
