About the Role

The Property Manager for multifamily communities at Cushman & Wakefield is responsible for maintaining properties to a market‑ready standard while delivering a high level of resident service. The role also involves motivating and leading teams to maximize property performance and profitability. Key duties include overseeing all facets of community operations such as maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control and audits. The manager ensures superior customer service to residents and prospects, enhancing satisfaction, renewals, reputation and revenue. The position requires developing, mentoring and managing a high‑performing, cohesive team of leasing, customer service, maintenance and management personnel, with a focus on engagement and turnover reduction. The manager drives revenue through competitive analysis and creative marketing programs while modeling Cushman & Wakefield’s mission and values. • Oversee maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control and audits. • Provide superior customer service to residents and prospects to boost satisfaction, renewals, revenue and reputation. • Complete lease and renewal paperwork according to company standards. • Track and evaluate advertising performance and client traffic. • Develop, mentor and lead a high‑performing team across leasing, customer service, maintenance and management functions. • Drive revenue by analyzing competition and implementing creative marketing programs. • Model and uphold Cushman & Wakefield’s mission and policies. • Supervise day‑to‑day on‑site team operations and ensure compliance with company procedures. • Interview, hire, coach and retain staff to maintain effective on‑site personnel. • Maintain resident files in accordance with company standards and resolve conflicts promptly. • Manage overall community budget and financial performance. • Collaborate with leasing staff to achieve leasing and marketing targets. • Set performance goals, monitor staff progress and improve individual team member performance.

What You Bring

Effective communication, strong customer‑service skills, computer literacy (Microsoft Office and internet navigation) and solid office, bookkeeping and sales abilities are essential. The manager must set performance goals, supervise daily team operations, ensure policy compliance, and handle resident files and conflict resolution promptly. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, as is a real‑estate license. Candidates should have at least three years of property‑management experience and three years of supervisory or management experience. The role operates in a professional office environment with standard equipment and requires regular travel, including occasional visits to multiple buildings. Physical demands include extended standing and walking, stair navigation, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds, with travel up to 15 % of the time. • Demonstrate effective oral and written communication, computer literacy and general office, bookkeeping and sales skills. • Travel up to 15 % of the time, including visits to multiple properties and outdoor conditions.

Benefits

Compensation ranges from $76,500 to $90,000 and includes a comprehensive benefits package such as health, vision, dental, flexible spending and retirement plans, as well as life and disability insurance and paid time off.
