About the Role

In the role of Design Coordinator for Architecture, you will support Project Architects, assist across all phases of the architectural process, write specifications, conduct code reviews, and perform other duties as needed. • Evaluate, select, and apply architectural techniques, procedures, and modifications to construction documents • Perform architectural assignments with minimal instruction from the Project Architect or Project Manager • Work directly with owners/clients to select and recommend procedures • Write specifications covering architectural matters and conduct code reviews • Assist Project Architects and other coordinators across all phases of the architectural process

What You Bring

HDR values continuous learning and sustainable design; candidates with a Master’s in Architecture, experience in educational, civic, science, or research facilities, and proficiency in design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, 3‑D Studio Max, Rhino, and Grasshopper are preferred. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field, credentials for future registration, proficiency with Microsoft Office and Autodesk Revit, strong leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to our employee‑owned culture. • Master's degree in Architecture (preferred) • Experience with educational, civic, science, and research facilities • Interest or experience in sustainable design/LEED • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, 3‑D Studio Max, Rhino, and Grasshopper • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field (required) • Credentials to obtain future registration • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project) • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and related tools • Demonstrated graphic presentation skills
