About the Role
The UNION Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in offices, hallways, stairs, and other building areas by performing daily interior cleaning tasks and basic maintenance of the surrounding grounds and premises. The role also includes reporting spills, emergencies, and any safety concerns to management promptly. • Perform daily interior cleaning: empty waste, vacuum/shampoo floors, dust, clean furniture, restock restrooms, wash walls, polish, mop, and clean windows. • Execute exterior cleaning and basic maintenance of walls, windows, parking lots, walkways, gardens, pools, and other outdoor areas. • Assist with minor maintenance and repairs such as painting, replacing bulbs and fixtures, moving furniture, repairing doors and gates, landscaping, and simple plumbing. • Handle additional duties like gardening, inventory control, snow removal (including salting/sanding), and supporting tenant moves. • Report spills, emergencies, and safety issues promptly to management. • Safely operate cleaning equipment and chemicals, including mops, vacuums, polishers, power tools, and specialized cleaning solutions.

What You Bring
The position operates in a professional office environment with regular travel between properties, often in varying weather conditions. Physical demands include frequent standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting at least 50 lb, as well as the ability to read instructions and communicate clearly. • Preferred education: high school diploma or GED. • Preferred experience: prior cleaning work and basic mechanical knowledge. • Eligibility qualifications: follow oral and written instructions, complete work orders, and be reliable, thorough, observant, organized, flexible, and courteous.

Benefits
Compensation for this role ranges from $20.43 to $24.03 per hour, with eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, vision, dental, retirement plans, and paid time off.
