About the Role

Key responsibilities include meeting annual sales, gross margin, and market share targets; expanding the assigned territory through new and existing accounts; and regularly visiting customers such as mechanical contractors, engineering firms, and facility owners. The engineer will assist with bid‑day operations, post‑sale submittals, order entry, take‑offs, quotes, and promotion of Carrier’s product line at trade shows and educational events, as well as manage project duties after equipment shipment, including cash collection and accounts receivable. • Achieve annual sales, gross margin, and market share targets. • Grow territory by acquiring new accounts and maintaining existing relationships. • Provide on‑site support to mechanical contractors, engineering firms, and facility owners. • Lead bid‑day operations, handle post‑sale submittals, and process orders. • Perform take‑offs, prepare quotes, and promote Carrier product line at trade shows. • Manage project duties after shipment, including cash collection and accounts receivable.

Carrier is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Engineer for South Carolina to market and sell Applied and Industrial HVAC products and solutions. The role combines technical knowledge with strong interpersonal skills in a dynamic environment, providing training and support from an experienced sales team. Required qualifications are a bachelor’s degree with at least three years of sales experience or an associate’s degree with five years of HVAC experience, plus a valid driver’s license. Preferred qualifications include a BS in Mechanical Engineering, five years of applied HVAC equipment sales experience, knowledge of design tools, controls experience, and certifications such as PE or LEED AP. • Hold a bachelor’s degree with ≥3 years sales experience or an associate’s with ≥5 years HVAC experience. • Possess a valid driver’s license; BS in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years HVAC sales preferred. • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, customer focus, and proficiency in MS Office.
