About the Role
In this position you will lead client relationship development, strategic account management, and business development for municipal water, transportation, and urban development projects, while representing GHD at municipal meetings, conferences, and industry events and driving advocacy initiatives. Additional responsibilities include overseeing CRM data implementation and maintenance, acting as a subject‑matter expert on technology, policy, regulation, or operational management, and mentoring a small team of account managers to ensure high‑quality service and profitable growth. • Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal clients, including city governments, utilities, and public agencies. • Act as the voice of the client within GHD, ensuring client priorities and challenges are understood and addressed. • Lead and mentor a Client Engagement Team to deliver innovative, tailored solutions for municipal needs. • Develop and execute annual growth and strategic account plans with a 3–5 year horizon. • Monitor public spending trends, regulatory changes, and infrastructure investments to identify new opportunities. • Identify and pursue business development opportunities in water, transportation, and urban development sectors. • Oversee CRM system implementation and maintenance, driving improvements for customer relationship management. • Serve as subject‑matter expert on technology, policy, regulation, or operational management and maintain relevant accreditations. • Represent GHD at municipal meetings, conferences, and industry events to promote brand and capabilities. • Lead complex customer relationships and small teams of account managers to ensure profitable growth.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field, has at least ten years of client service or relationship management experience with municipal or public‑sector clients, and preferably a Professional Engineer license. Strong communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills, along with proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office, are required. • Minimum 10 years of client service or relationship management experience, preferably with municipal or public‑sector clients. • Professional Engineer license preferred. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; ability to influence senior stakeholders. • Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite. • Strategic thinker with a client‑centric mindset and deep understanding of municipal operations and procurement.
