About the Role
The role requires a daily on‑site presence to oversee all mechanical activities throughout the construction, commissioning and handover phases. You will review and approve ITPs, check‑sheets and related documents, benchmark workmanship standards, and develop QA/QC checklists that are converted to BIM format for individual assets. Additionally, you will assist with start‑up and commissioning protocols and witness the commissioning of mechanical systems such as HVAC, pumps, piping, critical cooling and fire protection. • Oversee mechanical activities on‑site during construction, commissioning and handover. • Review and approve ITPs, check‑sheets and related documentation. • Benchmark workmanship standards and develop QA/QC checklists. • Convert QA/QC checklists to BIM format for individual assets. • Assist with start‑up and commissioning protocols for mechanical systems. • Interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics and specifications. • Apply ASHRAE standards and operate building management systems. • Ensure compliance with local regulations and project‑management principles. • Maintain a detail‑focused, team‑oriented approach.

What You Bring
Fluency in Finnish (native) and English (written and oral) is preferred but not essential. The ideal candidate has experience in mechanical construction, maintenance or commissioning of data centres or other mission‑critical environments, and is proficient at interpreting complex engineering drawings, schematics and specifications. Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and familiarity with building management systems (BMS) is required. A strong understanding of local regulations and project‑management principles is required, along with solid IT skills (BIM 360 and Google Suite). Excellent written and verbal communication, the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, solve problems and maintain a detail‑focused approach are essential. The role also demands a collaborative, team‑player attitude with good interpersonal skills. A BSc or BEng in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or a BTech) is preferred. Candidates should have extensive experience as a Quality Manager on major construction projects, preferably with data‑centre or technology project exposure, and have worked in consultancy, general contractor or client‑side environments. • Witness commissioning of HVAC, pumps, piping, critical cooling and fire protection. • Preferably fluent in Finnish (native) and English (written/oral). • Experience in mechanical construction, maintenance or commissioning of data centres or mission‑critical facilities. • Utilise BIM 360 and Google Suite for strong IT capability. • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally. • Work independently, prioritize tasks and solve problems. • Hold a BSc/BEng in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or BTech) – preferred. • Extensive Quality Manager experience on major construction projects. • Preferable experience with data‑centre/technology projects. • Background in consultancy, general contracting or client‑side environments.
