What You Bring
The Structural Welder will create frames for large structures. Most possess the ability to set up equipment and weld pipe, plate, or structural steel using arc, gas‑shielded arc, or gas welding equipment. Must be able to produce quality work with reasonable efficiency and obtain certification as necessary. The welder must learn and understand all safety hazards, safely operate related tools and equipment, and will work in a plant operations or construction jobsite setting. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lb (occasionally 100 lb), perform repetitive hand/arm work, and maintain balance on steel or wood frameworks, ladders, and scaffolds. Candidates must be able to work in varied environments—including uneven, muddy, or confined spaces and adverse weather—and operate hand and power tools. Effective communication, decision‑making, attention to detail, and the ability to concentrate amid distractions are also essential.
