About the Role

The Product Development Manager leads and champions product and service development and business planning, gathering internal and external stakeholder requirements, conceptualization, strategy, design, testing, launch, commercialization, and product lifecycle management. This role uses insights on customer interests, preferences, behaviors, and competitor offers to build business cases, conduct data‑driven market research, create financial P&L forecasts, develop vendor relationships, and support regulatory and operational planning. The manager also synthesizes efforts across multiple departments and presents new products for executive approval. Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and field procedures related to work responsibilities and promotes a culture of total safety. • Develop and champion product concepts by identifying customer challenges, market trends, and future needs; manage product roadmaps and lead cross‑functional teams to launch and sustain products. • Identify market potential and pricing through quantitative testing and research, adjusting concepts to determine acceptable price points. • Lead operational planning, including vendor, program, and partnership management; define delivery mechanisms, sales processes, technology requirements, and establish KPIs and performance reporting. • Create profit and loss statements and financial forecasts to support executive, board, and regulatory approvals. • Develop market and sales plans targeting launch segments, go‑to‑market strategy, advertising, and sales targets.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, engineering or related field. • 7+ years experience leading complex, multi‑disciplinary market/program/product analysis, research, evaluation, or product launch. • Proven ability to lead and influence cross‑functional teams and stakeholders. • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills; adept at statistical methods. • Experience with financial modeling and advanced customer/marketing analytics. • Excellent project management, written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to synthesize data into actionable deliverables and build trust‑based relationships. • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other analytical tools. • MBA (desired). • Experience in the energy sector, specifically demand response, energy efficiency, or load‑flexibility measures (desired). • Professional experience with distributed energy resources (desired).

Benefits

The pay range for this position is $108,200–$180,200 and the role is eligible for annual goal‑based incentive bonuses.
