About the Role

The HVAC Service Technician inspects, diagnoses, and completes electronic and mechanical repairs on residential HVAC equipment and water heaters, ensuring work complies with local and national codes. Safety, efficiency, and high‑quality service are core expectations for the role. The technician performs and trains others in preventative maintenance for heating, air‑conditioning, and ventilation systems, and assists with sealed‑system HVAC, water heater, and advanced appliance repairs as part of development. Exceptional customer service, clear communication with homeowners, and accurate documentation of service tickets, time logs, and material usage are required. The role also includes on‑call emergency response, maintaining vehicles and tools, and adhering to all safety protocols and company policies. • Perform preventative maintenance on residential heating, AC, and ventilation equipment. • Train colleagues in maintenance and repair procedures. • Assist with sealed‑system HVAC, water heater, and advanced appliance repairs. • Deliver exceptional customer service and clearly explain work and recommendations to homeowners. • Complete service tickets, time logs, and material usage documentation accurately. • Respond to on‑call emergencies and provide timely repairs. • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good condition. • Follow all safety protocols and company policies.

What You Bring

Applicants must have three years of HVAC experience (or an equivalent blend of work and accredited training totaling five years) and hold all required state licenses, including a valid EPA‑608 Technician Certification (Type 2 or higher). Advanced knowledge of service tools, appliances, gas and electric water heaters, strong communication, sales ability, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility to work weekends and overtime are required. Preferred candidates have five years of experience, NATE certification, and further trade or vocational credentials. • Minimum: 3 years HVAC experience (or 5 years combined work/training) and required state licensing. • Valid EPA‑608 Technician Certification (Type 2 or higher). • Advanced knowledge of HVAC tools, appliances, and gas/electric water heaters. • Strong communication, customer service, and sales skills. • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving standards. • Availability to work weekends and overtime. • Preferred: 5 years HVAC experience and NATE certification.
