About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician you will perform interior and exterior preventative and repair maintenance in our apartment community, handling HVAC, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and appliances while communicating effectively with residents, guests, and team members and upholding safety standards. • Perform community maintenance, resident service requests, punch lists, building inspections, preventative maintenance, and cleaning. • Use hand and power tools safely and maintain a personal tool inventory (hammer, screwdriver, wrench, tape measure, flashlight). • Participate in move‑in and move‑out apartment inspections. • Respond to on‑call service requests and emergency calls as needed. • Organize and utilize supplies cost‑effectively. • Communicate community concerns to the Supervisor and complete assigned tasks. • Install, repair, and service building HVAC systems. • Service electrical components such as GFCIs, fixtures, circuits, breakers, switches, and fuses. • Repair plumbing fixtures including toilets, sinks, and disposals. • Maintain appliances like stoves, refrigerators, washers, and dryers. • Perform light carpentry, drywall, door and window hardware work, and install screens and blinds. • Apply wall molding, caulking, countertops, cabinets, and vinyl or ceramic flooring. • Conduct weather preparation, bulk trash removal, and clean/inspect common‑area mechanical and storage rooms. • Assist with make‑ready items as needed.

What You Bring

Candidates must meet experience, education, and physical requirements, demonstrate a commitment to safety, and be willing to engage in ongoing professional development and occasional flexible hours. • Minimum one year of maintenance technician experience; multifamily experience preferred. • Beginner proficiency in at least two trades (electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting) and working knowledge of appliances. • High school diploma or equivalent; ability to perform basic mathematical functions. • EPA Universal Certification preferred; Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred. • Basic computer and internet skills; familiarity with resident management software preferred. • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand, walk, climb occasionally, and detect visual/auditory alarms.

Benefits

Compensation is $23 to $25 hourly, depending on experience, plus lease renewal bonuses. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with participation in an on‑call rotation.
