About the Role
The team lead will direct a civil engineering team focused on data‑center land‑development projects, oversee design, permitting, and quality control, and serve as the civil representative in project meetings. They will also mentor junior staff and ensure efficient scheduling and workload distribution. • Lead and build a civil engineering team dedicated to data center land development. • Act as Lead Civil Engineer, representing the civil team in project meetings and coordinating resources. • Design site layouts, grading, drainage, paving, utilities, and related civil engineering components. • Perform quantity takeoffs, prepare specifications, contract documents, and obtain permits. • Conduct complex engineering analyses, applying judgment to modify standard techniques. • Provide technical expertise to resolve high‑complexity problems and ensure high‑quality deliverables. • Mentor and train junior staff in land‑development theory and processes. • Oversee project scope, fee development, task breakdown, workload distribution, and scheduling. • Maintain strict quality‑control standards across all team outputs.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree, at least ten years of civil/site design experience, and a professional engineering license valid in Colorado. Preferred qualifications include three years of data‑center design, team leadership, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and storm‑water modeling tools. • Minimum 3 years of data center design experience and 3 years of team leadership. • Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) license and proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and storm‑water modeling software. • Bachelor’s degree, at least 10 years of civil/site design and project management experience, and a valid professional engineering license.
