About the Role

The manager administers the GPS Engineering Rotational Program, handling recruitment, interviewing, goal setting, 1:1s, IDPs, performance evaluations, and role placement. They partner with target universities and engineering departments to coordinate recruiting events, logistics, and engagement with student organizations, emphasizing diversity and inclusion. Assignment managers are selected and prepared, with methods established to measure training effectiveness and participant experience. Collaboration with business and talent teams identifies impactful engineering projects that foster growth and deliver organizational value. Learning delivery includes live classroom and web‑based sessions, adapted to audience needs and technology. A formal sponsorship/mentorship program is created, with onboarding and training for mentors and sponsors. The manager meets regularly with assignment managers to assess progress, competency development, and overall experience, and works with other early‑career program managers to share best practices. They develop and administer a curriculum tailored to engineering competencies, organize transition meetings, graduations, and recognition events, and oversee conversion of interns to full‑time roles while facilitating community roundtables. • Manage recruitment, interviewing, goal setting, and performance evaluations for engineering interns and associates. • Partner with universities and student groups to drive diverse talent pipelines. • Select and coach assignment managers; measure training effectiveness. • Identify high‑impact engineering projects for participant growth. • Deliver blended learning sessions (classroom, synchronous/asynchronous web). • Build and sustain a formal mentorship/sponsorship program. • Track KPIs such as conversion rates, performance ratings, and leadership progression. • Develop and administer engineering competency curriculum and career‑path learning. • Oversee intern-to‑full‑time conversions and organize graduation events. • Support alumni career development through mentorship and performance assessments.

What You Bring

Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, software, systems, or related) and at least eight years of progressive engineering experience, with three years in leadership or program‑management roles. Candidates must demonstrate collaborative leadership, a strong passion for people development, advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, engineering software, AI tools), and facilitation experience developing blended learning solutions. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across all organizational levels are essential. Preferred experience includes global cross‑functional work, established internal networks, managing remote teams, and prior individual contributor engineering roles. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, software, or systems). • Possess 8+ years engineering experience, including 3+ years in leadership or program management. • Demonstrate collaborative leadership and strong communication across all levels. • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, engineering software, and AI tools. • Experience facilitating blended learning and developing learning solutions. • Global cross‑functional collaboration and remote team management experience.
