About the Role

• Lead construction inspection staff for infrastructure and transportation projects in the NYC Metro Area. • Perform resident engineer duties, managing inspection/office engineering staff and project management for infrastructure clients. • Plan, organize, and supervise engineering and construction inspection activities for major transit projects. • Serve as senior representative for contractor inspections, payments, claim processing, and change order negotiations. • Supervise a multidisciplinary team including engineers, inspectors, project control, office engineers, administrators, and specialty sub‑consultants. • Lead progress meetings, coordinate RFI responses, and resolve technical issues with design engineers. • Interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts.

What You Bring

We are seeking a Senior Engineer for our expanding transportation team in the New York City Metro Area. The role focuses on rail transportation systems (NYCT, MNR, LIRR, PATH, Amtrak, NJ Transit) and requires a strong understanding of the local construction industry and public‑agency project experience. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent. • Possess 10+ years of relevant infrastructure or transit industry experience managing rail/transit projects. • Have prior resident engineering experience with public agencies. • Experience with rail infrastructure projects. • Willingness to work weekends or extended hours as needed. • Hold or be able to obtain a Professional Engineering license in New York State. • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Agree to pre‑employment and random drug testing.
