About the Role

The role involves providing professional service and maintenance on commercial sites in Derby, covering a varied selection of low‑voltage electrical systems. The successful candidate will perform installations, repairs, testing and inspections while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations. • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair low‑voltage electrical systems (lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, security, emergency lighting, access control). • Conduct regular testing and inspection to ensure compliance with standards and regulations, documenting results. • Diagnose faults, perform repairs and replacements to maintain uninterrupted system functionality. • Execute planned preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan. • Follow health, safety, environmental policies and electrical codes, reporting hazards promptly. • Collaborate with team members, contractors, and clients, providing guidance to junior staff as needed. • Keep accurate maintenance logs, inspection reports, work orders, and equipment inventory records.

What You Bring

Applicants should hold a C&G Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation (or equivalent), C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 certification, and be familiar with the 18th Edition wiring regulations. Strong experience in electrical and HVAC systems, knowledge of heating, air‑conditioning and building fabric repairs, and a solid health‑and‑safety record are required. Candidates must possess a full UK driving licence, good communication and organisational skills, a positive “can‑do” attitude, and be willing to work out‑of‑hours when needed. • Hold C&G Level 2/3 Diploma (or equivalent) and C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 certification (Test & Inspection preferred). • Demonstrate strong electrical and HVAC experience, including heating, air‑conditioning and basic fabric repairs. • Maintain a full UK driving licence and flexible availability for out‑of‑hours work.
