Job Highlights
About the Role
Under general supervision, the Weld Technician applies appropriate welding techniques to fabricate and repair compactors, containers, and carts. • Perform minor repairs and basic welding on compactors, containers, and carts. • Conduct preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of electrical and hydraulic systems. • Utilize arc, gas, aluminum welding, brazing, and soft soldering on various materials. • Carry out safety checks and ensure compliance with OSHA standards. • Complete repair paperwork using fleet maintenance software, tracking parts and time. • Assist senior welders and handle service calls for compactor repairs. • Execute flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, and notching of metal and plastic parts. • Follow prints, drawings, and verbal instructions, maintaining standard repair times and tolerances. • Use standard hand tools and measurement devices for setups and layouts. • Keep the work area clean and adhere to established safety procedures.
