About the Role

The Senior Cloud Engineer will provide engineering support to the Missile Defense Agency’s Modeling and Simulation Production team. The role focuses on delivering cloud technology expertise for AWS and/or Microsoft Azure, evaluating architectures and designs, and coordinating between the government and prime contractors to ensure effective integration of systems‑engineering processes. • Develop and review cloud framework software and interface control documents for missile defense simulations. • Lead technical discussions and collaborate with internal teams, prime contractors, and Missile Defense Agency stakeholders. • Participate in Agile software development planning for Framework, RepBox, and CTM programs. • Draft technical documents, briefings, and white papers related to cloud and simulation initiatives. • Contribute to strategic planning of systems engineering processes for simulation frameworks.

What You Bring

• MS degree with 12+ years of relevant experience. • Active Secret clearance (eligible for Top‑Secret) and AWS/Azure foundational & associate certifications. • Knowledge of model and simulation development, Agile/Lean practices, AI/ML concepts, and containerization. • Experience with simulation requirements, verification & validation, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. • Advanced AWS Professional or Azure Expert certifications. • Experience with RF/IR signature models, environmental effects, and missile defense or threat system simulations. • Background in Model‑Based Systems Engineering and DoD/MDA acquisition processes. • Must hold an active Secret clearance; position is within the Federal Solutions segment.
