About the Role

Superintendents oversee field operations, schedule compliance, and labor budgeting for their projects, including any Specialty Department work. They direct and supervise all Pepper Construction field personnel and subcontractors to ensure successful project completion and maintain effective relationships with project managers, owners, architects, and subcontractors. Project management duties encompass planning and scheduling, creating short‑interval schedules, allocating manpower, developing budgets, monitoring progress, resolving conflicts, and controlling costs while upholding quality and safety standards. People management responsibilities involve ensuring client satisfaction, providing leadership through team building, communication, motivation, sound judgment, and mentoring other Pepper Construction supervisors. Superintendents also promote safety awareness among all parties. Marketing tasks require representing the company professionally to clients, architects, engineers, building officials, and inspectors, maintaining a proper appearance, and consistently acting in a professional manner. • Plan and schedule projects, including short‑interval timelines. • Allocate manpower and develop working budgets based on estimates. • Monitor job progress, resolve conflicts, and enforce quality and safety controls. • Evaluate labor, material, and equipment costs weekly to maintain profit margins and customer satisfaction. • Lead, mentor, and coach Pepper Construction supervisors and field personnel. • Promote safety awareness and educate all parties as needed. • Represent and market Pepper Construction to clients, architects, engineers, and building officials professionally. • Ensure all parties understand the importance of safety to the project and educate those who need it.
