About the Role
In the Assembly Technician role you will assemble, wire, and modify work according to specified guidelines for medium and high voltage indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker and auxiliary compartments, power modules, and related sub‑assemblies. The role involves working from manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, and written or oral instructions from supervisors or team leads. You will complete ISO, quality, customer, and production checklists as required for supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering. Responsibilities include mounting and installing electrical equipment, performing wire operations, regularly lifting heavy copper parts, and reporting shortages to the appropriate Kanban inventory operators. All assemblies must be inspected for loose or missing hardware and cleanliness, and you will respond to change notices, customer‑requested adjustments, and development needs. What You Bring
The position requires the ability to train and coach colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development. Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive abilities, and analytical problem‑solving skills are essential. Working effectively with individuals and groups in a team environment is expected. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, be proficient with hand and air tools, and be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future. No relocation assistance is provided, and only applicants within a 50‑mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered, though active‑duty military members are exempt from this limit. At least one year of manufacturing experience in an industrial setting is required. Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime to support business needs is mandatory. The role requires use of standard computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook/Teams and job‑specific software like ENOVIA, as well as utilization of various hand and power tools, step ladders, and cranes in a Lean environment. • Demonstrate strong verbal/written communication and problem‑solving skills. • Hold a high school diploma/GED and at least 1 year manufacturing experience. • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; reside within 50 mi of Greenwood, SC (military exemption).
