About the Role

The senior engineer will provide technical input and oversight on large, complex projects, focusing on slope‑stability evaluation and recommendations for linear infrastructure with TXDOT, as well as geotechnical work on hydropower facilities such as penstocks, diversion dams, pipelines, gates, canals, flumes, levees, and siphons. Experience with remediation of landslides and other geologic hazards is required. Key responsibilities include planning project scope, resources, schedule, and budget; designing and leading major projects; coordinating multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and subconsultants; delivering construction support and bid assistance; reviewing documents for quality assurance; driving business development and client relationship management; supervising junior staff; and contributing to new techniques and process improvements. • Plan project scope, resources, schedule, and budget for major/geotechnical initiatives • Lead design and execution of complex geotechnical projects • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and subconsultants • Provide construction support, bid assistance, site observation, and project close‑out • Review completed project documents for quality assurance • Conduct business development, generate leads, and expand client base • Manage client relationships, assess risk, and support asset management • Supervise junior consultants and technicians, assigning tasks as needed

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program, possess at least ten years of progressive geotechnical experience, have Texas PE licensure, and demonstrate TXDOT project‑management experience. Required knowledge includes GDH practices for foundation design, seismic hazard evaluation, liquefaction, slope stability, and seepage analysis, along with proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Office, and specialized software such as FLAC or GeoStudio. A Master’s degree and expertise in landslide stabilization are preferred. The role is full‑time, based in Texas (multiple locations listed), with standard business hours of 8 AM – 5 PM, and requires successful completion of a criminal background check. • Hold a BS in Civil Engineering (ABET) and 10+ years geotechnical experience • Maintain Texas Professional Engineer licensure and TXDOT project management experience • Demonstrate knowledge of foundation design, seismic hazard, liquefaction, slope stability, and seepage analysis • Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Office, and analysis tools such as FLAC or GeoStudio • Preferred: Master’s degree and expertise in landslide stabilization
