About the Role
The Project Manager role sits within Building Solutions North America and leads large, multi‑million‑dollar controls construction projects for data centers across the United States. Although the position is remote, it requires travel to customer sites—potentially up to 50 % of the time—to oversee project execution. The manager works closely with owners, contractors, sales managers, and internal installation teams to provide early sales support, risk assessment, and vendor selection. The ultimate goal is to deliver projects accurately, on time, within budget, and to the agreed contract scope. Key duties include developing and maintaining project schedules, managing costs, billing, and cash flow, and actively pursuing change orders with cost estimates and proposals. The manager ensures compliance with state, local, and federal regulations, enforces safety standards, and oversees subcontractor performance, material procurement, and document control. Risk is continuously assessed, with recovery plans created and disputes resolved proactively. What You Bring
The role requires a bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or a related field (or an associate degree with equivalent experience) and a minimum of eight years of direct project‑management experience in building construction, preferably in data centers. Candidates should have experience with mechanical retrofits, HVAC controls, BAS, fire and security systems, and must obtain a PMI/PMP certification within two years of hire. Strong verbal and written communication, proficiency in MS Office, Project, Visio, and financial accounting systems are essential. Travel expectations are around 10 % but may vary depending on project assignments. • Minimum 8 years project‑management experience in data center construction. • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field; PMI/PMP certification within 2 years. • Proficient in MS Office, Project, Visio, Adobe Writer, and financial accounting systems.
