About the Role

The Project Manager, working with the Project Director, oversees multiple residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects, reports status three times a week, and assists with payment terms and collections. • Manage high‑risk, high‑exposure, and complex projects. • Communicate professionally with customers, subcontractors, and insurance representatives. • Provide technical explanations to clients, adjusters, and consultants. • Coordinate job starts and schedule appointments with customers. • Execute Project Director instructions on payment terms and accounts receivable collection. • Request payment from customers upon substantial completion and when signing the COS per payment terms. • Alert the Project Director of upcoming payment stages in line with established terms. • Support the Project Director in collecting outstanding project receivables. • Coordinate work duties with subcontractors and field personnel. • Give constructive feedback and direction to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget. • Arrange after‑hours emergency services such as board‑ups, water, fire, and smoke damage remediation. • Obtain all required city permits, inspections, and certifications. • Observe OSHA, EPA, and SCAQMD regulations. • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards. • Assure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously across a multi‑location region. • Use Salesforce to manage projects, generate reports, handle work orders, and forecast budgets, labor, and material.

What You Bring

The role requires proficiency in MS Office, Xactimate, Salesforce.com, and structural building knowledge; insurance restoration experience is advantageous. Strong written and oral English communication, including technical writing, is essential for project reviews with staff and customers. The position is primarily office‑based but involves frequent site visits that may be dirty, dusty, noisy, and expose the employee to hazardous materials and extreme weather. Candidates must meet OSHA (HAZWOPER) health requirements, be able to wear a respirator, lift up to 50 lb, and pass drug screening. Travel is required, and the employee must be willing to work odd hours, weekends, and holidays as needed. Applicants must possess current asbestos, lead, mold, llCRC AMRT, OSHA 30‑hour construction certifications, a valid driver’s license, forklift certification, and an up‑to‑date environmental physical. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to operate vehicles up to 26,000 GVW, and adherence to safety policy are required; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent; some college is a plus. • Possess at least three years of superintendent experience across all construction phases. • Have a combination of commercial and residential construction experience (preferred).
