About the Role
We are seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer to support engineering components for medium and high voltage switching equipment. The role operates under general supervision and focuses on maintaining reliability and efficiency of existing products while implementing improvements and resolving issues. Typical duties include interacting with U.S. clients to gather project requirements, reviewing and planning project requests, and researching industry standards to inform design decisions. The engineer designs components, conducts simulations, selects materials, generates specifications, and initiates drawings and engineering changes. Participation in cross‑functional teams, reporting project status, and collaborating with other departments on manufacturing, cost reduction, and process improvements are also key responsibilities. • Gather and clarify project requirements from US clients • Review, evaluate, and schedule project requests for completion • Research industry standards and apply technical knowledge to design inputs • Create and simulate mechanical designs, select materials, and produce specifications • Initiate drawings, engineering change orders, and required documentation • Report project status and progress to stakeholders • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on design for manufacturing, cost reduction, and process improvements • Utilize SolidWorks/Inventor, SAP ERP, and MS Office tools to execute tasks

What You Bring
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, and possesses 2–5 years of mechanical design experience. Proficiency with SolidWorks, Inventor, or comparable 3D modelling software is required, along with familiarity with manufacturing processes such as sheet metal, casting, and assembly. Experience using SAP ERP and the Microsoft Office suite, strong problem‑solving abilities, and effective communication skills are also essential.
