About the Role

You will join the MasTec family and provide the highest level of quality service to customers while maintaining a strong commitment to safety. This is a 100 % travel position where you will install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber‑optic, and microwave telecommunications equipment. You will climb towers and ladders of varying heights, conduct tower erection, and assist with antenna and transmission‑line installations using helicopters, cranes, and gin poles. You will also mentor less‑experienced technicians and perform other assigned duties. • Install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber‑optic, and microwave telecom equipment. • Climb towers and ladders at various heights to erect different tower types. • Off‑load material, manage inventory, and prepare/clean job sites. • Install new carriers on new‑build and existing towers. • Assist in tower erection using helicopters, cranes, and gin poles. • Assemble monopoles, weld and knock‑down self‑support and guyed towers. • Install microwave, VHF, UHF, cellular, and FM broadcast antennas. • Install transmission lines, including foam/air dielectric coaxial, hardline, and elliptical waveguide. • Perform foundation, grounding, conduit, and electrical installations as required. • Mentor less‑experienced technicians.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate prioritizes safety, has at least two years of tower experience, and holds a high school diploma. You must be able to lift 50 lb, work up to 12 hours, climb towers, read technical prints, and possess a valid driver’s license. Knowledge of OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, ANSI standards and a PWSA certification are a plus. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Minimum 2 years of tower technician experience. • Ability to read and interpret technical prints and instructions. • Working knowledge of safety standards (OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, ANSI) and possession of PWSA certification (preferred). • Physical ability to climb towers, lift 50 lb, and work up to 12 hours per day. • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. • Strong problem‑solving skills and commitment to high‑quality work.
