About the Role
As Sr Superintendent, you will be responsible for the overall direction of field operations, completion schedules, and labor budget outcomes of construction projects, including any specialty department work. Safety is a core value at Pepper Construction and Superintendents are expected to promote and exemplify safe work practices. You will effectively direct and supervise field team members and subcontractors on the jobsite to achieve successful and timely project completion. Superintendents also establish positive, collaborative relationships with Project Managers, Owners, Architects, and Subcontractors. The Sr Superintendent oversees project management, people management, and business development activities. They create schedules, develop budgets, and control costs while directing subcontractors and Pepper self‑perform trades. They lead teams, mentor supervisors, and ensure safety and customer satisfaction on each job. Additionally, they represent the company professionally to clients, architects, engineers, building officials, and inspectors. • Plan and schedule projects, including short‑interval schedules. • Develop manpower schedules and budgets based on estimates and project timelines. • Manage subcontractors, resolve conflicts, and ensure quality, safety, and proper documentation. • Control project costs by weekly evaluation of labor, material, and equipment expenses. • Ensure customer satisfaction by understanding and meeting client needs. • Provide leadership through team building, communication, mentorship, and coaching of supervisors. • Promote safety awareness and educate all parties on safety requirements. • Represent the company professionally to clients, architects, engineers, and building officials. • Maintain appropriate appearance to uphold the company’s brand reputation. • Build and maintain strong working relationships.

What You Bring
The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management (preferred) and more than 15 years of field supervision experience. Candidates must have successfully completed at least nine independent projects and demonstrate the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
