About the Role

The Sr. Mechatronics & Robotics Technician leads a team of service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. This role also designs solutions for complex problems, manages projects, and mentors both service and contract technicians. Day‑to‑day duties include promoting safety, maintaining and troubleshooting conveyor systems, auditing preventative maintenance, and handling relay logic, ladder diagrams, sensors, motor starters, and other control components. The technician creates and closes work orders with detailed labor and parts data, develops training plans, and prepares emergency repair work plans while traveling up to 20% and working shifts of up to 12 hours. • Lead service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Design solutions for complex problems and manage related projects. • Mentor and train service and contract technicians. • Promote a safe working environment and follow all safety procedures. • Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems and control components. • Audit and perform preventative maintenance procedures. • Install and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, sensors, motor starters, and solenoids. • Create and close work orders with labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used. • Develop training plans and emergency repair work plans for critical assets.

What You Bring

Required qualifications are a high school diploma, 3+ years of preventative maintenance experience, blueprint and schematic reading skills, and work order management expertise. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree in mechanical or electrical fields, 5+ years with automated conveyors, leadership experience, vendor management, and familiarity with robotic maintenance and CMMS. The position demands physical activity such as repetitive bending, lifting up to 49 lb, standing, and working in confined or noisy environments. Employees may encounter dust, fumes, temperature extremes, and must be able to work on concrete surfaces for long periods and handle bulky equipment. • Travel up to 20% and work 12‑hour shifts, lifting up to 49 lb. • Required: High school diploma, 3+ years preventative maintenance, blueprint reading, work order management. • Preferred: Associate degree in mechanical/electrical, 5+ years with automated conveyors, leadership and vendor management experience, robotic maintenance, CMMS familiarity. • Physical demands: repetitive bending, lifting average 20 lb (up to 49 lb), standing/walking on concrete for long periods, working in cramped or noisy environments.
