About the Role
The Scheduler will lead all planning and scheduling functions, ensure corporate standards are applied, supervise the scheduling team, and coach field staff while fostering teamwork and providing necessary resources. They will also manage performance, hiring decisions, develop leadership, enforce the Zero Injury Safety Program, and handle open‑shop and union matters. • Provide oversight of all planning and scheduling activities • Plan, coordinate, supervise, and direct planning and scheduling activities • Ensure corporate planning and schedule standards are implemented and complied with • Supervise the scheduling team • Coach, mentor, and train field personnel, forepersons, and assistant superintendents • Establish and nurture a teamwork environment • Ensure crews have necessary resources and support • Provide work direction and conduct performance evaluations • Identify hiring needs and participate in hiring, discipline, and dismissal decisions • Develop leadership potential through task assignments and career growth opportunities • Implement Mortenson’s Zero Injury Safety Program at project sites • Manage open‑shop and union issues

What You Bring
Mortenson’s Energy Storage and Solutions Group seeks an experienced Senior Scheduler to oversee planning and scheduling across projects. The role can be based at the Minneapolis headquarters, a regional office, or remotely, with 25‑50% travel. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in construction‑related engineering or management and at least six years of construction experience. Mastery of scheduling tools (P6, PowerProject), knowledge of construction sequencing, 4D planning, cost‑loaded schedules, and basic project‑management concepts are required. Strong analytical, communication, and collaborative skills, along with a driver’s license, are essential. • Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil, architectural engineering, construction management, or equivalent • Minimum six years of construction experience or equivalent training • Proficient with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and PowerProject • Strong knowledge of construction practices, project sequencing, and 4D visual planning • Ability to read, review, and interpret plans and specifications • Basic understanding of project management, contracts, buyout, cost‑loaded schedules, and claims avoidance • Excellent analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills • Effective oral and written communication and active listening • Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams • Current driver’s license and willingness to travel as required • Visa sponsorship is not offered; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
