About the Role
The Business Development Lead • Offices role in London is part of Cushman & Wakefield’s Occupier Representation team and is responsible for identifying and engaging prospective office occupiers across Central London who need strategic advice on their real estate portfolios. The role focuses on proactive lead generation, relationship development, and early-stage client engagement to support the delivery of tailored workplace and transaction solutions. The primary focus is to advise and negotiate on behalf of office tenants, helping them secure and structure the best real‑estate solutions to support their business goals in the Central London market. Cushman & Wakefield’s Occupier Representation team has been a market leader for years, possessing deep expertise across all levels and the ability to secure any opportunity. This Business Development role aims to expand the team’s reach and drive future revenue growth. Key responsibilities include researching and identifying potential occupier clients with upcoming lease events, business changes, or workspace requirements; tracking corporate movements, lease expiries, and sector trends; and maintaining a database of prospects and market intelligence using C&W systems. The role proactively engages senior decision‑makers, qualifies leads, arranges introductory meetings, and helps prepare customized pitch materials and proposals. It also builds relationships with occupiers, intermediaries, and industry contacts, represents C&W at networking events, collaborates across the London Offices Division, marketing, and the global network, and shares market insights with Central London and EMEA teams while tracking KPI progress in the CRM. • Identify and target office occupiers in Central London with upcoming lease events or workspace needs. • Track corporate movements, lease expiries, and sector trends to anticipate demand. • Maintain and update prospect and market intelligence databases using C&W tools. • Engage senior decision‑makers (CEOs, CFOs, Real Estate, HR) to present advisory services. • Qualify leads, schedule introductory meetings, and develop tailored pitch materials. • Build and nurture relationships with occupiers, intermediaries, and industry contacts. • Represent Cushman & Wakefield at networking events and conferences to raise brand awareness. • Collaborate with London Offices Division, marketing, and global teams to align business development activities. • Report lead generation and conversion metrics, ensuring accurate CRM data.

What You Bring
Required skills and experience include a strong understanding or interest in the Central London office market, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for engaging senior stakeholders, and a commercially astute, proactive, results‑driven mindset. Candidates must demonstrate strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects, proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and market databases such as CoStar, and a minimum of five years’ business development experience, preferably in property or professional services. Exposure to occupier representation, corporate real estate, or workplace consulting is advantageous, as is a genuine interest in aligning real‑estate strategy with business objectives. • Leverage 5+ years of business development experience and market knowledge to drive revenue growth.
