About the Role
The Environmental Engineer will support the KBR Environmental and Sustainability Manager by overseeing daily operations that ensure effective implementation of the ALDAR Environmental Management System and relevant regulations. The role involves proactive monitoring, coordination with consultants and contractors, and promotion of best practices aligned with KBR’s Zero Harm and Courage to Care philosophy. • Monitor implementation of the ALDAR Environmental Management System and applicable regulatory requirements. • Conduct site environmental inspections and audits. • Verify site observation closeout reports, environmental reports, and related documentation. • Promote environmental awareness and support client and KBR corporate initiatives. • Coordinate with clients, supervision consultants, contractors, third‑party consultants, and regulatory authorities. • Provide guidance on environmental requirements and assist in resolving related issues. • Assist in preparing monthly environmental project monitoring plans.

What You Bring
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related science discipline. • Minimum 10 years of environmental management experience in the construction industry. • ISO 14001 EMS Lead Auditor certification; experience with ALDAR EMS preferred. • Prefer experience in Project Management Consultancy or related consultancy roles. • At least 5 years of Middle East work experience, with Abu Dhabi exposure preferred. • Excellent report writing skills and proficiency with MS Office and Primavera. • Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic speaking is advantageous. • Strong knowledge of UAE environmental regulatory frameworks and objectives. • Demonstrated project management capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. • Effective communication, leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement. • Familiarity with international environmental standards, KPIs, and best management practices. • Ability to make decisions, solve environmental issues, and manage risk under pressure.
