About the Role
The Research Associate, Executive Recruiting, supports CoStar’s senior‑level hiring strategy by building data‑driven talent pipelines for executive searches. The role leverages market research, organizational mapping, and close partnership with Executive Recruiters to design and execute search strategies, delivering a seamless candidate experience from outreach through placement. This work directly contributes to efficient, informed hiring decisions that drive the company’s growth and leadership objectives. • Design and carry out targeted search strategies for roles across levels and businesses, utilizing various tools and databases to identify high‑potential candidates. • Conduct market research to gather insights into candidate pools, competitor activity and industry trends to support informed recruitment decisions. • Build and maintain a diverse pipeline of qualified candidates, proactively engaging with both active and passive candidates to establish relationships for current and future hiring needs. • Manage multiple searches, tracking progress and deliverables to ensure an equitable and efficient experience for all involved. • Work closely with recruiters to refine search approaches, share insights, and advise on talent strategies to meet critical business needs. • Assist in preparing detailed candidate profiles and reports to support client presentations and hiring decisions. • Stay updated on industry and market trends to improve search effectiveness and inform recruitment strategies. • Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records in the candidate database, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not‑for‑profit University or College. • Minimum 2‑3 years of research or recruiting experience within a search firm or in‑house recruiting team. • Experience using tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter and industry publications for market mapping and talent identification. • Proven experience conducting comprehensive research and using databases and industry sources to identify talent and gather market insights. • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities. • Experience working as part of a team, with the ability to collaborate effectively, sharing knowledge, and support colleagues. • Experience in executive recruiting, including outreach, candidate engagement, and presentation to hiring stakeholders. • Demonstrated success in delivering search services, particularly in high‑impact roles. • Capability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of recruiting systems and processes. • Strong aptitude for learning new subject matter quickly, with the ability to understand and support a diverse range of markets, roles, and business initiatives.
