Project Manager - Civil - Mumbai

About the Role

The Project Manager leads or supports Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for end‑to‑end service delivery and ensuring client objectives are met on time, cost and quality. Projects typically range from Rs 5 crore to Rs 10 crore, with larger values when in a supporting role. • Help establish overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters • Identify and ensure the appropriate line manager is aware of quality, safety, health and environment issues • Establish effective project governance, processes and systems to be used throughout the project • Produce detailed project plans as part of project planning • Advise on the procurement of resources • Lead and facilitate the cross‑functional project team • Monitor and apply performance management techniques • Manage the change control process • Monitor and advise on project finances • Manage the flow of project information between the team and the client via regular meetings and written communications • Prepare formal project progress and other reports • Take a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stages • Identify opportunities to develop new business with existing clients and report them to the appropriate line manager • Assist in the production of bid documentation • Ensure project case studies, photographs and project CV files are kept up to date • Identify ways to improve project management products and services and refer ideas to the appropriate line manager • Manage knowledge by inputting key information and learning from each project into the internal database • Handle financial management by ensuring prompt client invoicing and using TIC Sheets to monitor financial status • Drive process improvement by identifying enhancements to internal systems and processes and referring ideas to the appropriate line manager

What You Bring

Applicants should hold a B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (post‑graduate qualification is a plus) and have 10–15 years of experience in construction consultancy in India, including at least one full‑life‑cycle industrial project. Excellent verbal and written English, strong technical skills and the ability to work in a diverse, flexible environment are required.
