About the Role
• Lead on-site Electronic Security projects, planning, execution, and completion safely and cost-effectively. • Perform or delegate system programming, integration, installation coordination, commissioning, and closeout. • Develop project plans and coordinate resources to ensure timely, cost-effective installations. • Direct subcontractors, electricians, technicians, designers, and administrators as needed. • Install hardware and program software per established standards. • Load, verify, and commission system controllers, validate functionality, and resolve issues. • Produce accurate as-built and commissioning documentation. • Coach, mentor, and provide technical assistance to technicians, installers, designers, and subcontractors. • Ensure compliance with state, local, federal regulations and safety standards. • Assist with material selection, ordering, budgeting, and scheduling via web‑based tools. • Communicate project status to management and support monthly revenue, cost, and margin forecasts. • Conduct site‑specific training for owners/operators and provide operation manuals. • Adhere to safety, security, and fire codes, prioritizing employee and subcontractor safety.

What You Bring
We are seeking an experienced commercial Electronic Security Systems Field Engineer to join our federal team. This remote/virtual position requires extensive travel—typically around 75%—to support projects at Department of Defense and other federal government sites across the United States. All travel‑related expenses are covered by the company. • Minimum 5 years field experience in commercial/industrial Electronic Security industry. • Hands‑on experience with system design, commissioning, or programming of Electronic Security Systems. • Ability to explain technical material to non‑technical audiences. • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows environment. • Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances. • Experience with fiber and network technologies. • Familiarity with commercial Electronic Security Systems (e.g., Softwarehouse C‑cure 9000, Lenel, Genetec, Bosch BVMS); Lenel & Vindicator preferred. • Lenel programming experience. • Experience leading security projects and teams. • Electronics certification from an accredited technical school. • Lenel certification.

Benefits
The role is remote/virtual, preferably based in the Huntsville, AL or Washington, D.C. metro area, with a base salary of $85,000‑$105,000, negotiable based on experience, plus a 10% bonus eligibility. Employees receive benefits starting on the first day, three weeks of paid vacation, five sick days, three floating holidays, and ten standard holidays annually. Travel up to 75% of the time is required, with all expenses paid.
