About the Role

As Lead Mechanical Engineer you will direct multiple complex turbomachinery projects, presenting status, risks, and mitigation plans to senior leadership. You will provide on‑site support during assembly, installation, and commissioning, quickly resolving any non‑conformities. The role involves translating detailed customer specifications into designs for mechanical auxiliaries, foundations, and skid packages while coordinating with external suppliers for drawings, 3D models, and static/dynamic analyses. You will also own the plant‑wide 3D model, ensure interface integrity, and conduct stress and piping support analyses. • Lead multiple complex turbomachinery projects and report status, risks, and mitigations to leadership. • Provide on‑site support during machine assembly, installation, and commissioning, resolving non‑conformities quickly. • Translate customer specifications into detailed designs for mechanical auxiliaries, foundations, and skid packages. • Coordinate with external suppliers to create engineering drawings, 3D models, and perform static/dynamic analysis using FEA tools. • Conduct stress and piping support analysis, generate print drawings, and develop P&ID specifications with PUMA. • Design and size lube‑oil systems (API 614) and associated components such as pumps, motors, filters, and control valves. • Own and manage the plant‑wide 3D model, ensuring interface integrity across all project products.

What You Bring

We are seeking a Lead Design Engineer for Turbomachinery & Auxiliary Systems who thrives in a successful, collaborative environment. This role is part of our Turbomachinery Process Solutions product line within the Industrial Energy Technology (IET) team. The successful candidate holds a BE/BTech in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and brings at least six years of experience in rotating equipment packaging, auxiliary design, piping and support design, and structural analysis. Proficiency in NX (modeling, drafting, routing, assembly) and hands‑on experience with UG NX, AutoCAD, Ansys, and Caesar are required, along with knowledge of ASME B31.1/31.3 piping codes and API 614 lube‑oil system sizing. Strong ability to read P&ID, technical data sheets, O&M manuals, and site service requests is essential. • Hold a BE/BTech in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. • Minimum 6 years experience in rotating equipment packaging, auxiliary design, piping/support and structural analysis. • Knowledge of ASME B31.1/31.3 piping design and API 614 lube‑oil system sizing. • Proficient in NX (modeling, drafting, routing, assembly) and experienced with UG NX, AutoCAD, Ansys, Caesar. • Ability to read and interpret P&ID, technical data sheets, O&M manuals, and site service requests.
