About the Role
In this role, you will lead complex BIM and plant‑data assignments, leveraging platforms such as Revit, Intergraph SmartPlant, and Plant 3D to meet project deadlines. You will be responsible for the design and implementation of HVAC systems on large‑scale commercial and industrial projects while providing technical direction to project teams. Collaboration is central to the position; you will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration of HVAC solutions with other building components, conduct energy analyses to optimize performance, and maintain BIM standards and workflows. You will also mentor junior designers, present design concepts to clients, and stay current with industry codes, standards, and emerging technologies. • Lead design and implementation of HVAC systems for large-scale commercial and industrial projects. • Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models of HVAC systems using Revit, SmartPlant, and Plant 3D. • Perform energy analysis and simulations to optimize system performance and efficiency. • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate HVAC designs with other building components. • Mentor and train junior designers on BIM best practices and HVAC design principles. • Establish and maintain BIM standards and workflows for the HVAC department. • Present design concepts to clients and address technical inquiries. • Stay up‑to‑date with industry codes, standards, and emerging BIM technologies. • Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (a master’s degree is preferred) and be a licensed Professional Engineer. The role requires at least ten years of HVAC design experience on large projects, advanced proficiency in BIM tools, strong knowledge of ASHRAE and building codes, and demonstrated leadership and communication abilities. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred); Professional Engineer (PE) license required. • Minimum 10 years of HVAC design experience on large commercial/industrial projects. • Advanced proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Intergraph SmartPlant, Plant 3D) and Microsoft Office. • Strong knowledge of HVAC design, installation, troubleshooting, and ASHRAE codes. • Experience conducting energy analysis and system optimization. • LEED Accredited Professional certification preferred. • Expertise in fire‑fighting systems, including hydrants, sprinklers, fire zoning, and clean‑agent systems. • Proven leadership, mentoring, and communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
