About the Role
The technician performs complex preventative maintenance tasks and troubleshoots and repairs a wide variety of equipment, including trucks and heavy‑duty yellow iron machinery. Key duties include repairing a range of equipment, diagnosing and fixing differentials, hydraulic, motor, transmission, drive, air‑conditioning, and electrical systems, following preventative maintenance checklists, completing required documentation, servicing ancillary equipment such as light plants and welders, adhering to site‑specific procedures, and handling additional assignments as needed. • Repair equipment such as bulldozers, scrapers, backhoes, front‑end loaders, yard trucks, farm tractors, forklifts, and company cars • Diagnose and repair differentials, hydraulic systems, motors, transmissions, drives, air‑conditioning, and electrical systems • Perform tasks according to the preventative maintenance checklist • Complete records including work orders, card files, P.M. checklists, and oil samples • Service and maintain equipment like light plants, water pumps, welders, and other ancillary tools • Follow site‑specific procedures and detailed job descriptions

What You Bring
Qualifications include no formal education requirement, at least one year of heavy‑equipment diesel maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, proficiency with tools and repair procedures, ability to diagnose defects, use fleet maintenance software, and optionally knowledge of the Total Tire Maintenance Program. The role may require air travel or access to federal property; candidates must possess a REAL ID or a TSA‑approved alternative. • Minimum one year heavy‑equipment diesel maintenance experience • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record • Proficient in operating tools, diagnosing equipment, and using fleet maintenance software • Knowledge of Total Tire Maintenance Program may be required
