About the Role

The incumbent will define and execute a strategic direction that aligns internal sales and technical resources, while collaborating across regional lines to identify and pursue opportunities. Responsibilities include managing the North America regional technical sales team, overseeing all presales and technical support for the portfolio, and delivering training and technical presentations to customers, system integrators, and internal personnel. Key strategic goals involve shaping the overall business strategy for the Distribution Automation portfolio, expanding wireless solutions, and positioning Hitachi Energy as the go‑to provider for Digital Substation and Distribution Automation solutions, with a target to grow the AC Solution business to $120 million by 2030. Additional duties encompass partnering with senior management to execute the digital substation strategy, generating new accounts, maintaining reporting via Hitachi Energy tools, continuously improving the proposal process, assessing risk during proposal phases, and fostering talent through career‑growth opportunities and a robust training program for engineering and marketing teams. • Establish strategic direction and plan for Protection, Automation, and Communication market across US and Canada. • Manage and mentor the North America regional technical sales team. • Oversee all presales and technical support activities for the portfolio. • Develop and deliver training sessions for customers, system integrators, and internal staff. • Create and present technical presentations aligned with sales and marketing strategies. • Mentor technical personnel on Digital Substation and Distribution Automation products. • Assist in shaping business strategy for Distribution Automation and wireless solutions. • Grow the AC Solution business to $120 M by 2030. • Perform technical positioning, competitor analysis, and value selling for Grid Automation/AC offerings. • Build strong relationships with product marketing managers and centralized sales resources. • Design and implement a training and development plan for Grid Automation/AC engineering and marketing teams. • Partner with senior management to execute Digital Substation and Distribution Automation strategy. • Generate new accounts and pull‑through business. • Maintain informative reporting using Hitachi Energy tools. • Continuously assess and improve the proposal process. • Evaluate and manage risk during proposal phases and reviews. • Develop and retain personnel by providing career growth and challenging opportunities.
